Laurence Gallagher Daggett, Jr. Lansing Passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the age of 78. Larry was born June 21, 1935 to the late Laurence Sr. and Leora Daggett in Lansing, MI. He worked in the family business at West Lansing Sand and Gravel until he graduated and joined the U.S Army. He served his country in Germany during the Korean Conflict. After his time in the service Larry returned home to the family business, then owned/operated Pioneer Ceramics, and worked and retired from General Motors. Larry will be remembered for his love of his family, the outdoors, and always being the friendly neighbor who greeted everyone. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy (Drake) Daggett, 4 children, Laurence III (Heidie) Daggett, Dean (Bonnie) Daggett, Brinda (Bill Bappert) Daggett, and Dale Daggett, 2 grandchildren, Collen Kelley and Cory (Erika Harnish) Daggett, 2 brothers, Curtis (Mary Jo) and Joseph (Marilyn) Daggett, and 5 sisters, Judy (Don) Smith, Jackie (Sam) Hall, Sue (Mike) Barrett, Terry (David) Reitz, and Mary (Chuck) Daggett-Bolt. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 12-2 at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 2:00P.M. with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger. Contributions may be made to the Special Olympics in memory of Larry. Condolences may be made at www.palmerbush.com.
