Mildred Black Lansing Age 85, born April 18, 1928 to Norman and Josephine Franklin, went home May 2, 2013 to join her loving husband, J. C. Black and two sons, Curtis and Sidney. Mildred retired from General Motors Corporation. Surviving to cherish her memory; her sister, Mardett Sullivan; special niece, Sandra Sullivan; seven grandchildren, Phyllis, Tony, Sidney II, Terriea, Tina, Prunell and Bryan; and other relatives and friends. May the joy of God's love light every corner of your world. We love you and will miss you. The family extends special thank you to Grandhaven Living Center and Hometown Home Health and Hospice; Kamesha, Tina and all care givers that helped take care of Mildred. Friends may visit Mrs. Black Tuesday, May 7, from 9:00 am to 9:00 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph St. Lansing, MI. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 11:00 a.m., at Lansing Church of God in Christ, 5304 Wise Road, Lansing, MI with the family receiving friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
