Norman A. Beyer Obituary
Norman A. Beyer Dimondale Norman A. Beyer, born July 5, 1940 to Russell and Caroline (Collins) Beyer, passed away on November 6, 2013. Norman graduated from Resurrection High School and served in the US Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. After many years of service he retired from General Motors in 1991. He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of the Dimondale Lions Club, the Capital City Motorcycle Club and the Capital Area Trail Riders Association. He volunteered in many different functions for the City of Lansing. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Caroline. Surviving to cherish his memory is Dolores Beyer and their children, Norman Beyer, Jr., Cheryl Vanarsdall, and Marc (Shelly) Beyer; and grandchildren, Dusty, Jessica, Donald, Owen, Edward and Alexa. His family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue in Lansing. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the R. J. Scheffel Memorial Toy Project, P. O. Box 23181, Lansing, MI 48909, in memory of Norman Beyer. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel.
