Patrick E. Grandstaff


Patrick E. Grandstaff Lansing Patrick was born on November 7, 1957 in Lansing, MI to his loving parents, Ovie and Shirley. He was a 1975 graduate of Harry Hill High School and retired from General Motors in 2000. Pat was married to his wife, Penny, for 26 years and they raised 5 children together, Sara (Rick) Ferris, James (Sara )Beam, Dusty (Kristin) Beam, Ana (Jeremy) Ramirez, and Jake (Luann) Grandstaff. Pat loved spending time up North, his favorite place was the cabin his Grandfather built on Houghton Lake. Pat enjoyed all outdoor activities, bonfires, telling stories and jokes, cooking, baking the best cheesecakes anyone had ever had, and spending time with his Grandchildren. Pat was the greatest Papa ever to Nicholas, Cole, LJ, Gabby, Dom, Jorden, Lily, Cruz, Killian, Zoey, Izzie, Kaine, Bauer, and JJ. To Pat, his greatest achievement in life was to be called Papa. Pat shared a close bond with his Brother, Mike (Pam) Grandstaff, and Sister, Kathy (Rick) Thomas. Also surviving are Brothers-in-law, John (Pat) Bauer, and Ray (Carol) Bauer; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Pat will be missed everyday by everyone he met. If you knew Pat, you loved him. His family will share many laughs for years to come because of his sense of humor and love for life. Pat's presence made his family's lives complete. Pat will be greatly missed by his parents, siblings, wife, children, grandchildren, family and all those who were honored to call him friend. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. with the Memorial Services at 3:00 p.m. Thursday May 31, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.
