Rex McLendon Age 60, was born January 24th, 1953 in Wichita, KS and passed away on November 4th, 2013 at his home in Winter Haven, FL from multiple complications from COPD. Rex was proud of his distinguished military career spanning over two decades culminating in his deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In retirement, Rex enjoyed going to the beach with friends and sharing sunset photo ops. Tuesday nights were reserved for jamming on his bass with the band, and every day was reserved for riding his Harleys. Rex enjoyed watching his family grow closer together at family gatherings. He is survived by his fianceé Sylvia Bradway; his former wife and lifetime friend Karen; their three sons Aaron, Curtis and Blake; his six grandchildren and his dog Huey. We will celebrate Rex's life on Friday, November 8th at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. For those who wish to ride, loud pipes are encouraged!
