Robert E. Blackshaw Grand Ledge Age 78, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away June 18, 2013. Born November 19, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired after 36 years of service at Oldsmobile-General Motors. In retirement, he was a licensed realtor. He was member of the Shriners, and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed traveling and camping, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Presteen; his three children, Diane E. (Paul) Bailey, Robert P. Blackshaw, and Julie A. (Shawn) Williams; seven grandchildren, Amanda P. (Jeff) Wortley, Ian P. McVaugh-Bailey, Adam Krider, Brittany T. Blackshaw, Robert M. Blackshaw, Savannah L. Williams, and Grace A. Williams; and great-granddaughter, Abigail E. Wortley. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Sophie A. Blackshaw. Visitation is from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday (Today) and 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday with services 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2013 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 32323 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Jane Ellen Johnson of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the Saladin Shriners of Charlotte in memory of Robert.
