Ronald William Stenske Lansing July 22, 1933 - May 16, 2012 Ronald W. Stenske, resident of Lansing, passed into life eternal after a brave and loving life. Raised by his father, William A. Stenske, and his loving stepmother, Elizabeth Allour, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Stenske and Richard Stenske; and infant son, Andrew Stenske. Surviving are his close friend and companion, Alene Lorencen; his loving children, Mark (Julie) Stenske, Thomas (Sandy) Stenske, and Ellen (Jim) Block, all in Lansing, Paul (Michelle) Stenske in Athens, AL, Michael (Vivian) Stenske in Hong Kong, Peter (Patty) Stenske in New Richmond, WI, Ann (John) Tierney in West Chester, PA, John Stenske and Karen (Donald) Watkins, both in Berkeley, CA; niece, Kris (Mike) Derobertis; nephew, Karl Stenske; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and former wife, Marjorie Crippen. He was a 1950 graduate of Dansville High School, and upon graduation served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the VFW Post 701 and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #788. Ron was a retired draftsman from the Michigan Department of Aeronautics where he drafted maps of many airports in Michigan by hand. His life-long hobby was organic gardening, and he was a long time member of West Side Neighborhood Association in Lansing. Ron belonged to the Holy Cross Franciscan parish for many years. In recent years, he was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Lansing. We were greatly blessed to have him in our life and he will be greatly missed. Funeral Mass is 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour, Lansing with Fr. Bernard Reilly officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary service at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw Street, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Donations may be made in his name to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Mary Cathedral, or to the
