I worked with Steve at McDonald's in 1979 and 1980. We had a great crew and I can still see Steve in his red paper manager hat and making “cheese” calls to the people on the grill. Aside from his smile and warm personality, I vividly remember his singing after close during clean up. No matter where any of us were in the store, you could hear Steve belt out, “wild thing, you make my heart sing”, by the Troggs. To this day I think of Steve every time I hear that song. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I too am greatly saddened and shocked to hear of Steve's passing. I was working at McDonalds in the 70's when Steve was first hired as a janitor. He worked so hard at that job always doing his best no matter what the chore. At that early age he was always talking about being an Accountant. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time! I worked directly for Steve at Maner. He always had a big heart, big goals and big thoughts. I enjoyed working for him and catching up multiple times a year at functions. We shared an interest in Accounting, Mountain Biking, life and so much more. Steve is such a big loss to all that knew him and those that didn't get the chance!

I grew up three doors away from Steve and my clearest memory of him is after the 1968 World Series. He came running out of his house, he was so excited and quite disappointed to find three girls who didn't really care all that much.
