Weston E. Compton Weston E. Compton fell asleep in death on August 28, 2012 at his residence in Mission, Texas at the age of 79. He was born in Mulliken, Michigan February 13, 1933. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven, parents Beatrice Marlow and Earl Compton, and sister, Sharon Wardell. He is survived by his loving family; wife Pattie, daughters Marie (Charles) Hendrickson, Kathy (Jim Klinkhammer) Compton, and son Mark (Jean) Compton, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He served in the Navy for over three years and in the Army Reserves for several years. He retired from the U.S. Post Office (Lansing) after 33 years. He was a member of the Masons, Moose, and Elk Lodges. He owned and operated "Country Air Riding Stables" in Grand Ledge for many years. In his retired years he was an avid golfer. A Memorial Service for him will be held on July 21st, 2013 at 1:00 at the Grand Ledge Masonic Temple (200 W. River St., Grand Ledge).
