William A. Bosworth

William A. Bosworth passed away on August 29th, 2014 at the age of 88. He was born on August 5th, 1926, the son of Hazel and Leon Bosworth. He served his country in the United States Army in World War II and his community as a member of the Sunfield Fire Department for 34 years. He retired from Fisher Body in 1983, where he worked for 35 years. He enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino, catching a mess of bluegills, spending time with the family, watching his grandchildren's events and taking a few coins off relatives and friends playing any kind of card games. William was an avid Michigan fan and watched as many Tiger games he could. You could always get in a conversation with William and he would tell you there were kids from Sunfield with better fundamentals than the Tigers.

Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 61 years, Nina, who passed in 2010; brothers Allen, John, Charles, Wayne and Larry. Surviving are his 4 sons, Bill (Cindy), Lee (Julia), Jeff (Cheryl) and Stacey (Sue) Bosworth, his "5th" son, Art (Loralee) Phenis and special friend, Pete Weller; grandchildren: Renee Strimback, Darren (Stephanie) Bosworth, Jamie (Ben) White, Briana, Jade, Jennifer, Anna and Daniel Bosworth; 2 GREAT grandchildren: Avery Strimback and Landen White; In-laws Jerry and Bina Schray and William and Shirley Estep and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM - Thursday September 4, 2014 at the Sunfield United Brethren Church. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM - Wednesday Sept. 3, 2014 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel in Sunfield. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sunfield Area Sponsors of Programs for Youth Scholarship Fund, aka S.P.Y.'s, c/o Rosier Funeral Home PO Box 36 Sunfield, MI 48890.
