William "Bill" J. Brown, Jr. Lansing Age 72, died April 3, 2013. Born February 6, 1941 at Fort Smith, Arkansas. Member of the U.S. Army, served in Germany. Attended Oxnard Community College AS, San Fernando Valley State College BA (Dean's list), Michigan State University MA. Computer Programmer, retired from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine after 34 years of service. Bill was preceded in death by his Father William J. Brown. He is survived by brother Larry Brown and his wife Diane Brown, sons Aaron Nathan and Joshua Everingham, nephew Larry Brown Jr, nieces Sheri Craft and Trisha Black, and great-nieces and -nephews Taylor Dombroski, April Dombroski, and Carson Craft. Bill was a brother, father, uncle and friend with a passion for helping others. Bill was a local artist & musician with a life-long love for creative arts of all kinds, an inventor, creator, and innovator. Bill will be dearly missed by all of his friends, family, and local community. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 8, 2013, 12 Noon, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing with Pastor Jeremy Dowsett officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Reach Studio Art Center, 1804 S. Washington Ave., Lansing, MI 48910 in Bill's memory.
