William J. "Bill" Kemp Grand Ledge Formerly of Lake City, MI and Pine Island, FL Age 90, passed away January 29, 2013. He was born April 26, 1922 in Negaunee, MI to the late William H. and Ethel (Tonkin) Kemp. He attended Walter French Jr. High and graduated from Eastern H.S. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines and Japan during WWII. He was a metallurgist at General Motors for 37 years. Bill was an avid ball player and was a Triple A league pitcher. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and any activities involving his grandchildren. He is survived by children, William (Laurie) Kemp of Eagle, MaryLou VanSickle of Matthews, NC, Pamela (Elmer) Nagy of Sanford, FL and David (Barb)Kemp of Portland; 9 grandchildren, Scott Kemp, Michelle Martin, Eric and Sean Vansickle, Sean Kemp, Troy Kemp, Charles Nagy, Kerri Byrd and Erik Gronner; 14 great grandchildren; sister Marjorie Melichar. He is preceded in death by wife Margaret "Peg". Memorial visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 3-8p.m. at Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home Grand Ledge. Memorial contributions can be made to G.L.
