Wilmer "Bill" Erbele Obituary
Wilmer "Bill" Erbele Williamston Wilmer "Bill" Erbele, age 82, passed away November 15, 2013. He was born in Lehr, ND on October 4, 1931 to parents, William and Hulda George Erbele. Bill graduated from Lansing Technical High School, and served in the Michigan National Guard. He was owner of Erbele Standard Service Station. He retired from General Motors after 20-plus years. After retiring, Bill was owner/operator of Erbele Home Rentals. He loved to travel, and was an avid MSU Spartan fan. He was a mild mannered man, but would speak his mind about topics which concerned him. Anyone who knew Bill loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell; and sister, Fern. He was a loving husband to his wife of 34 years, Mary; and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to daughters, Gail (Jeffrey) Anderson, LeeAnn (Harold) Smith and Nancy (Mark) House; sons, Paul (Yanuvi) Erbele, Tim (Paulette) Stump, and James Stump; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Pearl Baldwin. Funeral services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William R. Lugger officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing, Stoneleigh Residence, 4052 Legacy Parkway, Suite 200, Lansing, MI 48911 or , Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 310 N.
