SOUTH BLOOMFIELD: Amy Jo Hampshire Schneider, 42, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Circleville, as the result of an auto accident.
She was born December 8, 1970 in Lancaster, the daughter of Roger W. and Connie Mae (Bussert) Hampshire. Amy was a 1989 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and remained in close contact with many of her school friends. She was known to be a hard worker and had worked at Smead in Logan, National City Bank and One Write, both in Lancaster, Mars Petcare (Kal Kan) in Columbus and most recently at Kenworth in Chillicothe.
Amy was a pleasant person with a good sense of humor who was always smiling and laughing. She loved to dance and enjoyed riding her Harley, gardening, working out and doing lots of things with her daughter Felicia such as walking the dogs, bicycling, hiking and just hanging out together. Amy loved her family and her many friends and will be missed by all. She was a member of Lancaster Community Church where she was active in the Connect Group. She was also a member of the Moose club and Crossover Motorcycle Ministries.
Amy was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Carl Bussert; her paternal grandparents, Orval and Betty Hampshire; and beloved uncle, Rex Shupe.
She is survived by her daughter, Felicia Jo Schneider; her mother, Connie (Dick Wardell) Hampshire; father, Roger W. Hampshire, Sr.; brothers, Roger W. Hampshire, Jr. and his sons, Josh and Jordan, Nick and Shawn Hampshire; sister, Margaret (Mike) Lanning; maternal grandmother, Dorotha Bussert; special friend, Travis Clifton; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends; special canine companion, Buddy; and her granddoggy, Marley.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 16, 2013 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Venrick officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
