LANCASTER: Philip Buren McCoy, 77 of Lancaster, passed away on October 28, 2013 at 9:40pm at The Pickering House.
Philip was an Army Veteran. He owned and operated Nu Brick Company. He tended bar at Longbranch for many years. Phil enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He lived a life of no regret and the way he knew how to live with many friends and family.
Phil was born September 3, 1936 in Buffalo, WV. He was the son of John Oscar McCoy and Grace Oldacre McCoy.
Phil is survived by daughters, Becky Tucker of Leon, WV., Pat (Jeff) McNeely of Ashton, WV., Debbie TenEyck (Chris) of Bucyrus, OH.; son, David R. McCoy of Lancaster, OH.; sisters, Verna Bell Blankenship of Adelphia, OH., Betty Tucker of WV.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Special close nephew, David R. McCoy of Chrystal River, FL. and special niece and caregivers, Lucille (Mike) Alley of Lancaster, OH.
He is preceded in death by his son, Philip McCoy Jr.; sisters, Louise, Sylvia (Maxine) and Mary; brothers, Everette (Bob) Jessie (Jim), John and William (Billy).
Cremation has already taken place. Final resting place at Flora Hills Memorial with loving brother Jr. No memorial services as requested by Philip McCoy Sr.
