Rodney C. Robinson Jr.

LANCASTER: Rodney C. Robinson Jr., 80, of Lancaster passed away on Thursday December 13, 2012 at the Pickering House. He was born on July 8, 1932 in Lancaster to the late Rodney C. and Anna (Arter) Robinson Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force Military Police during the Korean Conflict. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for Fairfield County and Hocking County, was the former Police Chief in Bremen, and was the head of security for B.I.S. Rodney was a member of the Ohio Organized Crime Investigation Commission and the American Legion.

Rodney is survived by his daughter Lisa (Mike) Schorr; grandsons Austin and Simon Schorr; sister Marilyn Spangler, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Martha (Lane) Robinson, parents, brother Gary "Butch" Robinson, sisters Shirley Janis Crist and Barbara Sheets.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00PM Monday December 17, 2012 at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jesse Blevins officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be on Sunday December 16 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to FairHoPe Hospice or the Pickering House.
