UHL, FRANK
Passed away peacefully at home in Earl Grey early on July 5, 2014 at the age of 97. Frank was a veteran of WWII, spent years as a mechanic, a farmer and a school bus driver (Floorboards Frank). He built and operated "Frank's Esso" by Rowan's Ravine Park from 1963 to 1981 when he retired. He said many times that he felt that store was the best education for his children. At the time of his death, he was the oldest surviving member of his family. Frank was predeceased by his parents, John and Caroline Uhl and his first wife and mother of his children, Anne. He suffered his greatest loss when his son, Allan, passed away in 2004. He was also predeceased by his great-granddaughter, Carissa and grandson Phillip. He was predeceased by several siblings. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Mohr, his children Jim (Maryann), Jeanne (Fred), Larry (Sharon), Don (Trudy), Jo-Anne (Roy), Jackie (Wayne), and Diane (Gerry); also his stepdaughters Sharon (Wally) and Bev. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings Elsie, Elinora, Wilf, Laura (Ted), Erwin, and Helen (Fred). Frank is also survived by sisters in law Agnes, Veryl, Barb, Dorothy, and other extended family. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made in his memory to Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Earl Grey. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Earl Grey Community Hall, Earl Grey SK with Pastor Lois Knudson-Munholland officiating. Hansen's Funeral Home, Strasbourg in care of arrangements.
