Wendy d'Entremont
April 18, 1958 - January 12, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Wendy d'Entremont (nee Simpart) of Regina SK, at the age of 54 on January 12, 2013 after an unfair battle with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her father, Joe Simpart; her only sibling, Dan, and her sister-in-law, Sandra (d'Entremont) Langford. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Andy d'Entremont and their sons, Parker and Dana; her mother, Eva (Simpart); sister-in-law, Joan Simpart; nieces, Sheryl (Jeff Walker) and Raelynn; father-in-law, Art d'Entremont (Betty); brother-in-law, Norman Langford; niece, Karen (Jason Wiebe); nephews, Shaun (Krystal) and Jeff; brother-in-law, Martin d'Entremont (Mary Ellen Dewar) and nephew, David; sister-in-law, Diane d'Entremont (Alan Powers), niece, Victoria and nephew, Christopher. Wendy was a caregiver all her life. When not looking after her beloved family, friends and her pup Bailey, she cared for her clients as part of the transition team with home care. She worked with friends there, not co-workers and was proud to be part of that close knit group. Part time she taught first aid, CPR and TLR. She liked to plant flowers, decorate for special occasions and played pool in a women's league. As a non-swimmer, she tried water-skiing and snorkeling in Maui and downhill skied in winter. She loved sitting by the fire with friends and family. She made many friends while going through treatment and became involved in yoga, fitness classes and the Pink Earth Angels. Wendy gave generously of her time, canvassing for many charities and providing first aid at various events with St. John's Ambulance. Wendy's family wishes to thank the incredible staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 3B Pasqua, 5A General, her physiotherapists and Joanne Frederick's support group. A Celebration of Wendy's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Broadway United Church, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
