Midland , GA - Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Locust Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 8300 Warm Springs Rd, Columbus, GA at 11:00 a.m.
Mr. Williams was born March 16, 1930, the son of the late Lucille Brown and John Henry Williams Sr. in Screven, GA. Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Williams, John H. Williams Jr., and sister-in-law, Francis Williams.
Mr. Williams retired from W.C. Bradley Company. He was a member of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemasonry and the deacon board at Locust Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a sargent in the Korean War and at Ft. Benning, GA. He graduated from Wayne County High School in Jesup, GA.
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Mrs. Clara J. Williams of Midland, GA; one sister, Ms. Blanch Mays of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Gladys Lawrence(Vernon) of Lancaster, OH; four sons, Lewis L. Williams, Jr. (Freda) of Columbus, GA, John Williams of Midland, GA, Calvin D. Williams (Brenda) of Columbus, GA, Michael V. Williams, Sr. (Claudette) of Columbus, GA; eleven grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held today, December 9, 2013 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Kimbrough Funeral Home, 837 5th Ave, Columbus, GA 31901.
