Seale, AL- Rev. Otis C. Broadnax, Sr., 66, of 19 J C Road, Seale, AL passed Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Monday, January 6, 2014 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Patrick T. Brown, pastor and Dr. Kenneth Thompson, eulogist. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Rev. Broadnax was born October 30, 1947 in Ft. Benning, GA to the late King David Broadnax, Sr. and the late Lorise Thornton Broadnax. He was the pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church, Hurtsboro, AL. He served in the U.S. Air Force and had been employed with the Veteran Affairs at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Broadnax of Seale, AL; one son, Otis C. Broadnax, Jr. of Norcross, GA; one daughter, Karla Broadnax of Smiths Station, AL; one brother, King David Broadnax, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Eunice L. Starke of Atlanta, GA and Annie Ruth Broadnax of Elgin, Il; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
