Magnotta, Amedeo

Amedeo Magnotta, 82, of West Nyack, NY, passed away peacefully, on March 18, 2013 at his home surrounded by his beloved wife and sons. Amedeo was born February 27th, 1931 to Leone and Olga in New York City, the youngest of 6 children.

Amedeo served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Medic. He met his wife Anna Magnotta in the Bronx, NY and they married on October 5th, 1957. Amedeo will always be remembered for his kindness and considerate nature. He was a deeply devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. He owned and managed a dairy business in the Bronx, NY. He attended art school in New York City during his younger years, enjoyed drawing throughout his life and loved to dance and sing.

Amedeo is survived by his wife Anna, daughter-in-law Carol, sons Brian, Craig (wife Tara), Glenn (wife Jill), and Chris (wife Kelly); and 10 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Wayne.

The Wake will be Wednesday, March 20th, 7-9pm and continuing Thursday, March 21st, 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Joseph W. Sorce F. H. Inc.

The Burial Mass will be held on Friday, March 22rd at 10:00am at St. Anthony's Shrine Church, 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY.
