Karen Jean Tagliente passed away on Dec. 19, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer and multiple sclerosis. She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on Oct. 23, 1949 to William and Alice Thomas. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas and her sons Michael and Anthony, her brother Jeffrey and wife Sherry. She was beloved by her sisters and brothers-in law as well as her nieces and nephews. Karen was a long time and active parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Piermont and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was known for her kindness and charity and a willingness to help in whatever way she was able despite her illness. She will be dearly missed by all.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Dec. 23rd, 10am, at St. John the Baptist Church in Piermont. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill. Visiting hours will be Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan B.
