Michael P. "Sonny" Oslacky

Michael was a lifelong resident of Tuxedo, NY, a graduate of George F. Baker High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. who served as a Corporal during the Korean War. He was a former volunteer fireman with Tuxedo Volunteer Fire Company #1, and was a 35 year member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #373, where he worked as a foreman in the Hudson Valley powerhouses. He also worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate in Sloatsburg, NY for 14 years. He was a proud member of American Legion Post #293 and VFW Post #2973; was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Tuxedo; and a former member of the Tuxedo Sportsman's Club and President of the WeeWah Fishing Club.

Michael was predeceased by his loving parents, Michael and Anna Oslacky and survived by his loving wife, Joyce and adoring family. Survivors include his sisters, Anna Johnston and Barbara Matthews; his children, Michael & Patricia Oslacky of Park Ridge, NJ, Peter & Tracy Oslacky of Tuxedo, NY, Paul & Roseann Oslacky of Campbell Hall, NY, and Marlene and James Dougherty of Ramsey, NJ; along with his grandchildren, Angie, MJ, Rebecca, Peter, Jesse, Joshua, Danielle, Adam and Paul.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm, Tuesday, October 29 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 30 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 5 Tobin Way, Tuxedo, NY. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman, NY.
