Ruffino, Pasquale "Patsy"

Pasquale "Patsy" Ruffino, passed away peacefully May 6, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Bronx, NY on January 24, 1932 to Sebastian and Theresa (Santalo) Ruffino. Pasquale served his country proudly with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married the love of his life Josephine (Aprea) and together they have raised their family here in New City. Pasquale enjoyed his time with his family, cooking, tinkering around the house and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Pasquale had a great love for food and entertaining so much so that he made it his life long career. He was the owner of a Catering and Restaurant business for many years. He was an active parishioner of St. Augustine's Church in New City and a member of the Marine Corp League. Pasquale will be remembered for his kindness and generosity by all who knew and loved him.

Pasquale is survived by his wife Josephine, his children Steven (Patty), Nanette Granoe (Lars), Paul (Lisa); his grandchildren Liza, Catherine and Ethan.

Friends may call today, May 8th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Friday, May 9th, 11:15am at St. Augustine's Church, New City, NY. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pasquale's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
