Vivian B. Messina, 97, a life-long Peekskill/Cortlandt resident, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2013 after a long battle with breast cancer. Born in Peekskill on July 9, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Lewis & Josephine (Ansorge) Brown. Vivian worked for over 35-years as a cafeteria worker at all the Lakeland District Schools which include Toddville, Walter Panas, Copper Beach and Lincoln Titus; until retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Cortlandt/Yorktown Senior Citizens; she enjoyed reading, walking and traveling. Vivian is survived by her daughter and 2 sons: Vivian (Ronald) Kulich, William (Dolores) Busch and Allan (Sue) Busch; also her 8 grandchildren, especially her beloved Elizabeth & Melissa; and her 16 great-grandchildren & 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 1st husband William Busch in 1965; and her 2nd husband Nicholas Messina in 1976; her 3 brothers Donald, Alden, Willard Brown, as well as a granddaughter, Donna Angus. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, Peekskill, where a Funeral Service will be held 11am, Saturday, March 16th followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Memorial Donations may be made to the
