Bill was born on June 22, 1933 to the late Emil and Sophie (Plitnik) Liptack and older brother to the late Robert Liptack. Bill attended Fordham University where he played and was elected Captain of the Division 1 Varsity Fordham Football Rams. While attending Fordham he met the love of his life Kathryn Brennan of the Bronx, NY. Bill and Kay were married on May 11, 1957. Following his graduation from Fordham, he attended Naval Officer's Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island and was commissioned as an Ensign. Bill served in the Navy for three years, including one year in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After retiring from the Navy, Bill began his 33 year advertising career in New York City. He began as an Associate Media Director at Young & Rubicam. Bill was then instrumental in starting an in-house advertising department for Bristol Myers-Squibb where he retired in 1993. He later enjoyed his time spent working at the Reformed Church Nursery School in Bronxville, NY.
