Arden Baker Blankenship Obituary
HENDERSON - Blankenship, Arden Baker, 89, of Henderson, KY, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 9, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN.

Arden was a very active member of First United Methodist Church. He served our country in the United States Navy, serving in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Arden was a color photo engraver with Standard Gravure which was part of the Louisville Courier Journal. He loved working hard and taking care of people. He was an avid UK Basketball fan and loved his family above all.

In addition to his parents, Bryan and Eva Blankenship, Arden is preceded in death by his daughter, Lyn Carol Blankenship; a sister, Earletta Skinner, also preceding him in death are his Aunt Mae and Uncle Grant Lane, who raised him and his cousin, Norma Lane.

Survivors include a loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Epling Blankenship of Henderson, KY; one daughter, Debbie Davis of Evansville, IN; two sons, John Baker Blankenship (Pat) Hudson, OH, and Jeffrey David Blankenship (Kirin Makker ) of Geneva, NY ; one sister, Rayma Bramschreiber of Owensboro, KY; two brothers, Leroy Blankenship of Evansville, IN and Bill Blankenship of Lisman, KY ; two grandchildren, Niko Blankenship and John Robert Davis.

Relatives and friends are invited to Arden's Life Celebration from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 and again on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. at Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Reverend Jim Wofford officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY.
