KOSSE, BERNARD G., 79, of Louisville passed away Monday June 9, 2014.
He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where he served on the Parish Council. Mr. Kosse attended St. Xavier High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Notre Dame, Class of 1956. He achieved the highest score in the state on the Kentucky CPA Exam and was a member of the Tax Executives Institute. He later started the CPA firm of Kosse and Lindle, from which he retired. He was a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Lynn C. Viscusi Kosse.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Kosse (Nancy); his daughters, Cindy Allison (Rob) and Daphne Crooks (Kevin); grandchildren, Kaitlin Sullivan (Patrick), Caroline, Patrick and Sarah Kosse, George, Natalie and Louise Allison, Hanna, Jack and Liam Crooks; and great-grandson, William Sullivan. He is also survived by his brother, Louis and his sisters, Mary Magalen Kalkhof, Eugenia Kosse and Huberta Ogburn.
The family would like to thank the staff at Westport Place Health Campus for their exceptional care and compassion.
His funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. at his church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 3-8 p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home 3711 Lexington Road " In St. Matthews." In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may go to St. Xavier High School or The National Parkinson Foundation.
