91, went to heaven Saturday morning, July 19 to join his wife Kay who preceded him in 2008.
Bruce attended Michigan State University before joining the Army Air Corps as a P-51 pilot in World War II and later he was part of the occupational forces in the Pacific. He then returned to Michigan State to graduate from engineering school. In 1954, he moved his family to Louisville when GE Appliance Park began operation. There he had a 30 year career in the refrigerator division. He was instrumental in the development of the first automatic ice maker for refrigerators.
Bruce was a loving husband and a giving father, providing his children with many great opportunities. He is survived by his children, Bob (Marty) of Louisville, Jean Crawfis of Vero Beach, FL, and Jim Latter of Crested Butte, Co.; four grandchildren, Steppanie Latter Weller (Bryan), Madison Latter, Josh Crawfis, Jessica Crawfis, and three great-grandchildren.
A private family gathering will be held in Little Harbor , Abaco, Bahamas where Bruce and Kay and their family spent much time together.
