He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, retired from the U.S. Air Force, and the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant, and a member of the Retired ServiceMen's Club, Yearlings Club, and a Mason.
He is survived by his children, Carl H. Clay (Patricia) of Louisville, Karen J. Clay of White Plains, MD; brother, Charles Clay (Jean); two grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation: 11 a.m. - 1p.m. Thursday A. D. Porter & Sons, 1300 W. Chestnut St., with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Burial 11 a.m. Friday in KY Veterans Cemetery.
