McLEISH, DUNCAN R., 96, died on November 19, 2013 at Baptist Health.

He was born May 21, 1917 in Ft. Wayne, IN, to Charles and Clara (Meyer) McLeish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years, Mary Jane Christie McLeish; and his brother, William McLeish.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth McLeish (Chris); granddaughter, Alison McLeish; nieces, Sharon Jacumin, Gail Christie and Ann McLeish Hemmeter (Paul); and nephews, Richard McLeish (Judy) and Robert McLeish (Diana).
Duncan graduated from South Side High School in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was proud to have obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from Purdue University in 1939, and he remained a loyal alumnus and contributor to Purdue throughout his life. He worked for Firestone Tire in Noblesville IN until 1949. He and his family moved to Indianapolis, where he worked for Eli Lilly until his retirement in 1980. He moved from Indianapolis to Louisville in 2013 to be near his family.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Atria Stony Brook and of Baptist Health for their dedication and kindness.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with a private burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Purdue Foundation, 403 W. Wood Street, West Lafayette, IN, 47907.
