HENDRICKS, FRANCES E., After a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease, Frankie, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 peacefully in her home in Key Largo, FL.

She graduated from Louisville Girls' High School, attended Ohio State University and later was a founding member of the Louisville chapter of Beta Alpha Delta sorority. She worked briefly at the Pentagon during World War II and worked tirelessly for the Cerebral Palsy Association for many years. Her favorite endeavor, next to her children and grandchildren and dabbling in interior design, was being in her gift shop, Charlie Allnut's, in Key Largo. She loved talking with the customers and making friends with vacationers from all over the world.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James W. Hendricks, a former Louisville attorney and developer.
She is survived by her four children, Rickey, Janet, Barbara and Jim Hendricks; her seven grandchildren, Adrienne Batkin, Abigail Stangier, Lincoln Lewis, Corey Pickering, Bill Rockwood, Samantha and Kyle Hendricks; and three great-grandchildren, George and Harry Batkin and Bodhi Pickering.
Funeral service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation: noon until time of service. A Key Largo Memorial will be announced after the first of the year.
