GREENVILLE - Endler, Frank, 58, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Frank was born in Louisville and spent his childhood living in Kentucky and Pennsylvania. He graduated from Butler Traditional High School, where he excelled at athletics, becoming a decorated varsity basketball player. He continued his love of sports throughout adulthood, often making day trips to watch the Indiana Pacers and Indiana University football games.
Frank was known for his love of family and was particularly proud of his three daughters and their scholastic and professional success.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and a begrudging lover of all the pets his wife, Rhonda, acquired.
He enjoyed maintaining the family's two acres of land in Greenville, where cookouts were staged. Frank's grilled chicken was a staple at these get-togethers, and the primary food of substance before the endless line of desserts prepared by his wife and daughters.
Frank started his own business, Modern Exteriors, where he displayed his artistic talents through stucco construction.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Endler Sr. and Mary LaVerne Reed; and stepparent, Donald Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Leuthart) Endler; daughters Angela Esparza, Sara Endler and Ashley Endler; grandsons Demetrus Forrest II, Isaiah Forrest and Avin Gallahar; siblings Jack (Bette Jo) Endler, Donna (Norman "Chub") Stoops, Raymond "Porky" (Donna) Endler, Debbie Endler, Bobby (Donna) Reed, Kenny Endler, Kim (Don) Rigazio, Jimmy Holleman and Jason Reed; stepparent, Jean Endler and 12 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, IN.
