O'BRYAN, GEORGE MICHAEL, 71, of Louisville, went to see the Lord peacefully from the V.A. Medical Hospital.

He was a retired plant operator for D.D. Williamson, a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, a member of South East Christian Church and member of a group with therapy dogs called WAGS (Wonderful Animals Giving Support).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Sallie O'Bryan, his sister, Sallie Koch and his brother, Lawrence O'Bryan.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Theriault O'Bryan; daughters, Sara O'Bryan Thompson (Scot) and Kate T. O'Bryan; his brother, Robert O'Bryan; and his two newborn twin grandchildren, Sterling George Thompson and Jasper Steven Thompson, which was a true miracle and blessing from God that he was able to meet them.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at South East Christian Church, 920 Blakenbaker Pkwy., with burial to be private. Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road in St. Matthews is caring for arrangements.
