CONNER, JACK METCALFE, 85, departed this world Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
Born April 11, 1928 in Cambridge, OH and raised in Walton, KY, Jack was the son of Carl and Faye Conner.
Jack served his nation during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was a U.S. Army reservist during the Korean War. A graduate of the University of Kentucky and the University of Nebraska, Jack was a professor at the University of Kentucky, a professor at Western Kentucky University, and later an instructor and educational psychologist for Jefferson County Public Schools.
Jack leaves behind his wife Mary Ella (Smith) Conner; daughter Brenda Baliel and her three children; daughter Melissa (Conner) Arnold, her husband David and their two children; cousin John Brakefield, cousin Barbara Fay (Brakefield) Daugherty, her husband Bart and their two children.
Visitation and service were held at Friendship Baptist. Arrangements: H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown, KY.
