Obituary Condolences

LANESVILLE - Pfannmoeller, Jack R., Warrant Officer, Ret. USMC, died in Roanoke, VA, at the age of 86.

He was a graduate of Flaget High School in Louisville, KY, the University of Louisville and the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School in Bainbridge, MD. He was a life member of the Retired Officer's Association, the National Marine Corps Mustang Assn. and past president of the Florida chapter, a Kentucky Colonel, past president of the Lanesville Athletic Club, and served as Director of Civil Defense in Harrison County, IN. During his 24 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps he served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam/Japan.

Preceding Mr. Pfannmoeller in death were his parents, Will and Agnes Pfannmoeller of Louisville, KY; two brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his Darline Evans Pfannmoeller, his wife of 61 years; sister-in-law, Carolyn Evans Baker (Keith) of Vinton, VA; four nieces; and one nephew.

Arrangements will be by Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN, with visitation on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. A graveside Military Service will be conducted at the Lanesville Protestant Cemetery on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots.
