James L. "J.L." Clements Obituary
CLEMENTS, JAMES "J.L." L., 90, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East.

J.L. was a native of Lebanon, KY; he was the former co-owner/president of Kentucky Wine & Spirits. He was a member of Hurstbourne Country Club, an organizer and Board Member of the Foster Brooks Pro/ Celebrity Golf Tournament, an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Ascension Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen B. Clements; his parents, Bernard A. and Lula Mae Mann Clements; a granddaughter, Stephanie Browning; and four devoted sisters.

Survivors include his sons, James L. "Bubba" Clements Jr. and Charles "Pat" Clements (Susan E. Clements); daughters, Janice Parker, Cindy Browning (Smitty), Bernadette "Bea" Metts (Bruce) and Martha Johnson (Paul); a brother, William B. Clements (Juanita); a sister, Kathleen Campbell; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Monday, December 10, 2012 at Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday from 3-8 p.m., Sunday 2-6 p.m. and Monday 9-10:30 a.m. at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road.

Donations may be made to Trinity High School or Covenant of Grace Church, in honor of his granddaughter, Stephanie Browning's children's orphanage, 5503 Easum Pine Court, Louisville, KY, 40299.
