JEFFERSONVILLE - Bottorff, Jane Piatt, born in Louisville, KY, on July 11, 1924, died November 25, 2013 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in West Lafayette, IN.
She graduated from Jeffersonville High School, and earned a bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University. She taught in three elementary schools of southern Indiana. She was employed as a School Psychometrist in Owensboro, KY, Madison, IN and the Jefferson County Public Schools, KY, retiring from the latter. As a member and volunteer at the Little Loomhouse, Lou Tate Foundation and a member of its board of directors, she participated extensively in the restoration of "Esta" one of the three cabins on site.
She was predeceased by her son, Craig B. Holmes.
Jane is survived by two children, Martha Jane Harding (Bruce), Douglass M. Holmes (Susan); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. to service at the funeral home. Burial is to be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
