BROWN, JOAN, 77, of Louisville passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013.

Joan was a member of the Lady's Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5421, which was her greatest passion. She was also a member of American Legion Post #220.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Brown; and parents, William Walls and Ella Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Victor Blanford (Vickie), Martha Cassity, Chuck Blanford and Eddie Brown; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, George Johnson (Debbie) and Lynn Mikesell (Buster).
Funeral service to honor the life of Joan will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Cancer Aide Research.
