MUDD, JOHN ROBERT, 87, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital.
He retired from General Electric Co., and the Naval Reserve. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and a Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanette Mudd; son, James R. Mudd; parents, James and Gleno Mudd; four brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Mueller Mudd; daughters, Carolyn Rodenas (Numeriano), Sue Mudd Griffin, Theresa Mills (David) and Mary Hall (Ron); son, William Mudd (Jacqueline); 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Bonnie Kippes and Pat Webb.
His celebration of life Mass will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More, 6105 S. Third St. with burial in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday (Vigil service at 6 p.m.) at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr.
