EDWARDS, KENNETH ELMO, 79, was born August 18, 1933 to the late Raymond and Opal Shields Edwards and returned to his Heavenly Father May 6, 2013.
Mr. Edwards was a machine operator for Seagrams Distilleries, a Purple Heart recipient twice, serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5710, American Legion Post #517 and the Disabled American Veterans.
Among those who preceded him in death include his parents and a son, Ken Allen Edwards.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Joyce Jecker Edwards; daughter, Angela Duvall (William); son, Lyndol Edwards; sisters, Anna Perry and Imogene Perry; brother, Raymond T. Edwards; grandson, Dustin Duvall; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held noon Saturday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1-8 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst.
