DUES, MARY M., passed peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Nazareth Home at the age of 99.

Born February 21, 1914, she was a retired school teacher in Louisville area Catholic Schools, primarily at Mother of Good Counsel and Our Lady of Lourdes. She was an Ursuline Associate and a member of the Ladies of Serra. She was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for 70 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Theodore M. Dues; her son, William C. Dues of Seattle, WA; and her sister, Sue Schulten.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Zang (Tony) of Aurora, CO; sons, Michael T. Dues (Mary Brown) of Tucson, AZ, C. Thomas Dues (Linda), David L. Dues (Bernadette), and Daniel L. Dues (Martha) and and daughter-in law, Donna Dues, all of Louisville; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd., in St. Matthews. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Rd., with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Nazareth Home for their loving and professional care over the past 10 years of her life.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the Ursuline Sisters or the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
