MILLER, MICHAEL CHAPMAN, 70, passed away Monday January 21, 2013.

He earned a master's' degree in civil engineering from Auburn University and was a registered professional engineer, holding licenses in six states: Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and Alabama. He was a member of Chi Epsilon, the national honorary society of civil engineers.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, French and Louella Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; two daughters, Sarah Singhurst (Steve) of Cookeville, TN, and Dr. Kate Miller of Indianapolis, IN; a grandson, Remy Walker of Cookeville; sister, Sandra Wenzel (Charles) of Carmel, IN; two nieces; and two nephews.

At his request, his body was donated to the University of Louisville School of Medical Sciences. Visitation will be held at Second Presbyterian Church, 3701 Brownsboro Road, on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. Burial will be private.
