Dr. Noel Stipp Graves

Obituary

HANOVER - Graves, Dr. Noel S. M.D., 89, of Hanover, IN, was raised in Muncie and was a 1941 graduate of Muncie Central High School.

He was inducted into the United States Army during World War II. Noel was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Rosalee Marks on April 27, 1946 in Bloomington, IN. He received his pre-med from Ball State University and his doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Graves then interned at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. While in college he became a member of the Phi Chi Medical Fraternity. Dr. Graves moved to Vevay in 1950 where he began his Board Certified Family Practice serving the community from 1950-1968. In 1968, he began a residency of pathology in Indianapolis, but moved to Madison as he was invited into the Madison Clinic Practice. Dr. Graves died on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 6:45 a.m. at his home in Hanover, Indiana.

Survivors: daughter, Ann Graves; son, David L. Graves; grandson, John; granddaughter, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Kyle and Natalie.

Preceded in death by: parents, Earle Philip and Leona Hazel Stipp Graves; his beloved wife of sixty years, Rosalee Marks Graves, died July 28, 2006; brother, Philip Graves, died June 15, 2013; half brother, Earle "Bud" Graves.

Funeral services: Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, IN. Interment, Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Tuesday from 2-8p.m. and Wednesday after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
