Norbert J. "Jack" Allgeier Jr. Obituary
ALLGEIER, NORBERT J. "JACK" JR., 83, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.

He was born February 13, 1931 in Louisville, the son of the late Norbert J. Allgeier, Sr., and Frances VonBokern Allgeier and was an Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean conflict.

Jack was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church where he was active in the Widows and Widowers Group (WOW) and The Young Hearts. He was also a member of American Legion Post #200.

Jack was a very devoted family man and felt that faith and education were a priority.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Dorothy Kleinhenz Allgeier; sister, Gerry Hoar and a brother, Robert Allgeier.

Jack is survived by his children, Tandra Huber (Gene), Dawn Minniear (David), Steven Allgeier, David Allgeier (Anna), Linda Cooke (Bill), Robin Russell, Pamela Henize (Jan), Gary Allgeier (Tammy) and Becky Covelli (Joe); 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his sister, Jean Walker (Frank); and many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road.
