GWIN, ROBERT L., died at Azalea Hills in Floyds Knobs, IN, on January 13, 2014.
Born in Washington, IN, he graduated college and law school at Indiana University where he played both basketball and football. He retired from the U.S. Army reserve with the rank of major. He was a veteran of World War II, with three battle stars from the European theatre. He practiced law in Owensboro, KY. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Sigma Nu fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Bouche Gwin; son, Robert Y. Gwin; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by sons, Thomas Lee Gwin and Charles F. Gwin; brothers, Thomas Taggert Gwin and Fabius Gwin and sister, Ruth Brockman.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory, Owensboro. Private burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Owensboro.
