Robert Mark "Bob" Densford

Obituary Condolences

DENSFORD, ROBERT MARK "BOB," 51, of Louisville, died suddenly in the morning hours of Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

A 1980 graduate of Iroquois High School, he went on to Centre College in Danville, KY, earning a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology. Later, he graduated from Indiana University Southeast with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.

He most recently worked as a free-lance writer and an active member of Lee's Lane Baptist Church. Bob loved the Lord, music, and good food, but not necessarily in that order. Bob played football from youth league through college, and was a big fan of both the Louisville Cardinals and the Denver Broncos. Bob repeatedly tried for his 15 minutes of fame with open microphone stand-up comedy and karaoke performances.

Bob had dealt with multiple medical issues for nearly the past 30 years, but never lost his excitement and enthusiasm for life. Recently diagnosed with cancer, his life passed as he prepared for this next challenge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Rose Densford; and two brothers, John and Steven.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sue; sisters, Mary Lynn Gilbert and Laurie Ann Sherman; brother, James; stepdaughter, Laura Michelle; son-in-law, Patrick Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday at noon at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 10 am-noon. Burial will be private. Online condolences at Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to his widow to help with final expenses.
