REITER, RONALD LEE, 75, a much loved husband, father, and "Pop Pop," passed away at home on February 11, 2014, after a brave battle with kidney disease.

Ron proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Reynolds Metals Co. and he was a long time member of AA.

Ron's passion was golf and he was happiest on the golf course with his golf buddies or in later years playing golf with and watching his grandchildren play the game of golf they all loved so much.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot"; daughter, Dana Hummel; son-in-law, Kurt Hummel; grandchildren, Grant, Lydia, and Hudson. He is also survived by his sister, Scottie; brothers, Dennis and Larry; along with several sisters-in-law, and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of his golfing buddies for providing Ron enormous enjoyment over many years. Your friendship and camaraderie meant the world to him. Thanks to his Fresenius dialysis team; Dr. Chouray, Dr. Gaba, the Norton staff ICU and 4th floor for taking such good care of Ron over the last few years.

His funeral mass will be held 10a.m. Saturday at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Denis campus 4205 Cane Run Road. Visitation will be at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. on Thursday from 5-8p.m. and from 2-8p.m. on Friday.
