Cheatham, Ruth McCracken,

73, passed away August 28, 2014.

Ruth was born in Cincinnati, OH, to Frank and Margie (Teagarden) McCracken. She graduated from Highlands High School and Depauw University (B.A., elementary education). Ms. Ruth, a gifted pre-school teacher, taught 2-year-olds at Chance School for 17 years. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She will survive forever in the memories of her husband of 49 years Gil; her children, Julie, Cindy and Bill; her seven grandchildren; her students and their parents; and her many friends.

A memorial service honoring Ruth will be 1 p.m. September 5, 2014 at St. John United Methodist Church in Prospect, where Ruth and Gil were founding members.
