NORTON, STEPHEN A., 70, formerly of South Louisville, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 in Bardstown.

He is a retired LPD police officer, a member of the FOP, the head of security at the Hyatt Regency, a Pepsi Cola bottling plant employee, a Miller Transportation bus driver, and a Mason in the Grand Lodge of KY F. & A.M. Plumb 862.

Steve is survived by his wife of 32 years, Edith Jackson Norton; children, Mark Norton (Nancy), Kelly Janssen (Michael), Teri Thompson (Tim), and Debbie Hughes (Joe); a sister, Sue Wurst; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and was a foster parent to four children.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at Joseph E Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.
